Sammelna': Release of 12th tranche of funds
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra
Modi launched the PM Kisan Samman conference in the national capital New Delhi
on Monday and released the 12th installment of funds to the farmers under the
Kisan Samman scheme.
In this installment, 16 thousand
crore rupees have been deposited in the accounts of about 8 lakh farmers. After
launching the PM Kisan Samman conference, Modi launched 600 PM Kisan Samriddhi
Kendras.
Bharat Urea, Bharat DAP, Bharat MOP,
Bharat NPMK fertilizer were launched in the name of One Country One Fertilizer.
Thousands of farmers attended the ceremony. Also, more than one crore farmers
from various organizations participated virtually in the program.
After addressing the farmers, Modi
raised slogans of Bharat Mata Ki Jai, Jai Jawan Jai Kisan.
Millions of farmers from all corners
of the country are involved in this program. We have taken many steps to enrich
farmers and agriculture. He said that today more than 600 PM Kisan Samriddhi
Kendras have been started in the country.
PM Kisan Samriddhi Kendras are being
developed as model centres. It will be completely with farmers. All their
challenges will be answered. On this occasion, 16 thousand crore rupees have
been deposited in the accounts of 8 lakh farmers. The installment was
transferred before Diwali festival. Congratulations to all the farmers.
Under the One Country One Fertilizer
scheme, India will move towards self-reliance in the fertilizer sector.
Government is giving priority to increasing production of urea. Through this,
an attempt has been made to solve the problems of the farmers, he said

dedicated 75 digital banking units in 75 districts to the country
Addressing the nation through video
conference, the Prime Minister said that digital banking units are very
important in the ongoing campaign to simplify the lives of common people. He
said that this is a special banking system and facility that will provide
maximum services to the people at least through digital infrastructure.
These services are free from
paperwork and other hassles. These will have facilities and security of digital
banking, he said.
Speaking on the occasion, RBI
Governor Shaktikant Das said that RBI is taking progressive steps to improve
the availability of digital infrastructure from banking services. The RBI
issued the guidelines after consulting Indian banks assans, commercial banks
and experts after announcing in the budget 2022-23 to set up 75 digital banking
units, he said.
Both public and private sector
commercial banks have responded well to this initiative. He said that 75 DBUs
(Digital Banking Units) have been set up in 75 districts spread across the country
in a record 6 months to commemorate 75 years of independence.

Bengaluru: Digital banking units in
Bengaluru Rural, Mysore, Raichur and Mangalore districts were launched on
Sunday to give impetus to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Digital India dream
and promote digital banking system in India.
Union Minister of State for
Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Shobha Karandlaje inaugurated a digital banking
unit set up by Canara Bank at Devanahalli in Bangalore Rural District. Canara
Bank Managing Director Lingam Prabhakar and others were present on this
occasion.
Shobha Karandlaje said that advanced
and convenient digital facilities have been launched to enable seamless banking
services and people should take advantage of it.
Davangere: Kodaganur lake rises,
cracks in the road, people are worried
Davangere, October, 18: Due to heavy
rain in the district, all the lake embankments are overflowing. The ditches are
overflowing and even after the rains have stopped, series of problems continue
to arise. Davangere district has received unprecedented rainfall this year. Due
to this, the loss in the district is increasing. Lake levels have also started
falling in some places. This has created anxiety among people and farmers. The
lake of Kodaganur village in Davangere taluk is the biggest lake. It is one of the
largest lakes in the district and irrigates thousands of hectares of land.Due
to the recent heavy rains, this lake with an area of about 800 hectares is
overflowing. Kereeri is collapsing day by day. The road is cracked and
motorists are afraid to travel. There is also a fear among the people that the
lake may rise and burst at any time and water may enter the houses. If the lake
rises and bursts, a huge disaster will occur. Many villages will be flooded. It
is also said that there is danger if the villages are flooded. People are
worried as the lake has risen and cracks are appearing repeatedly on the road.
He demanded that the authorities should immediately take cognizance of this and
take appropriate action. The cracked lake and road should be repaired as soon
as possible. People are worried that there will be a huge problem if the
authorities are negligent. Davanagere - Holalkere road has been closed due to
cracks in the road. Locals said that traffic has been suspended as a
precautionary measure. Hundreds of vehicles including cars, buses and bikes ply
on this route every day. Now no vehicle can drive here as the road is cracked.
The local administration has advised people to be careful. As the matter came
to know, former Zilla Panchayat member and Congress leader Basavanthappa
visited the place. Watched the lake rise and crack in the road. Consulted with
the locals and got information about the problem. The staff of minor irrigation
department has been instructed to come to the spot. AEEs Radhakrishna, Shetty
Shivamurthy, AE Praveen Kumar who arrived at the spot immediately inspected the
spot. A solution to this problem should be found to prevent future disasters.
He directed the local authorities to take immediate action in this regard. As a
result of heavy rain in all parts of the district, water continues to flow
rapidly through the ditches. Due to this, the lakes have overflowed and the old
lakes have accumulated water at dangerous levels. The lakes have fallen and the
fields are being invaded and the crops are being damaged. Locals have demanded
that the officials of the concerned department should visit the place and take
appropriate action.
