Increase in SC-ST Reservation:

 Gazette Notification Soon: CM Bommai

Bengaluru, August 8: Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai said that the Cabinet meeting has agreed to increase the reservation for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (SC ST) and soon a gazette notification will be issued.

As a legitimate demand for many years, reservation should be given on the basis of population as stated in the constitution, the 15% reservation for Scheduled Castes has been reduced to 5%. The cabinet also approved the consensus decision to increase the reservation to 17% and from 3% to 7% for Scheduled Tribe. After the Cabinet meeting, he told the media persons that this will be published in the Rajyapatra (Gazette Notification) immediately. Nagmohan Das had asked for a corporation for the sake of the nomadic Scheduled Castes and Tribes. It was decided to do that also in today's meeting. It has been decided to discuss with the Law Minister, legal experts, Advocate General and immediately recommend to the Center what formalities there are to include in Schedule 9 due to legal protection of this resolution. The overall reservation in the state has crossed 50 percent. Now there is doubt among some whether the increase in reservation will be approved or not. Scheduled people constitute the bulk of the population and when they are socially and educationally far away from the mainstream of society, it is considered a special case and reservation can be increased. Dool Tribe- Those who are socially and educationally far away from the mainstream can be considered as a special case. There should be a basic population and they are far from the mainstream educationally and socially statistically. Hence it is possible to make it a special case. Schedule 9 was brought as a fundamental right to provide justice. Not only for reservation but also many ideas come in it. Exempted since 1994. Even now the verdict has not come out about it. Reservation has already been increased in many states including Tamil Nadu and Odisha. However, the courts have not opposed it. He said that the law minister, legal experts and advocate general in the state will also discuss the matter and submit a suitable report to the centre.

Solar eclipse in last week of October; Know location, time information

Solar eclipses and lunar eclipses are the most important among the many celestial phenomena that we see before our eyes. Eclipses happen many times in a year. If the sun crosses the moon in such a way that it disappears from the earth, it is a lunar eclipse. Also, if the moon comes across so that the sun is hidden from the earth, it is a solar eclipse. During a solar eclipse, the sun's rays do not reach the earth. However, the moon's shadow is not wide enough to cover the entire earth. Thus, a solar eclipse can be seen only in certain areas. These are lateral solar eclipses. Most of the solar eclipses are partial solar eclipses. Some solar eclipses are full or partial solar eclipses. In the Khagrasa solar eclipse, the moon has hidden the sun so that it cannot be seen by the whole earth. A lateral solar eclipse will now occur on October 25, 2022. An eclipse occurs in the polar regions of the Earth. However, the moon's shadow does not reach the center of the earth. What is a lateral solar eclipse? The moon cannot cover the entire sun. If the moon covers only a small part of the sun, it is called a lateral solar eclipse. During a Khagrasa solar eclipse, the Earth, Moon and Sun come into the same line. Then the sun will be completely hidden for some time. However, these three planets do not come in the same line during a lateral solar eclipse. Thus, only a small part of the Sun is eclipsed.

Solar eclipse time

The solar eclipse will begin on October 25 at 2:28 pm Indian time. The eclipse will last till 6:32 PM. The peak of the solar eclipse will be at 4:30 pm.
