Fatal accident in Uttar Pradesh; At least 25 people died
when the tractor fell into the ditch
Kanpur: At least 25 devotees were killed when a tractor full
of passengers fell into a ditch in a terrible road accident in Uttar Pradesh.
A tractor trolley overturned in Ghatampur area of Kanpur
district on Saturday, killing 25 devotees on the tractor. Similarly, the
condition of many is alarming. The injured have been admitted to a nearby
hospital.
A tractor carrying 50 people met with an accident in
Kanpur's Ghatampur area while returning from the Chandrika Devi temple in
Unnao. The injured have been admitted to a local hospital and the police and
locals are engaged in rescue operations.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanth also condoled the loss of life
and sent senior ministers Rakesh Sachan and Ajit Pal to the accident site to
supervise relief and rescue operations. After the incident, the Chief Minister
appealed to people not to use tractor trolley for transportation purposes. He said
the tractor trolley is used for agricultural work and for transferring goods.
A government spokesperson said that the Chief Minister is
personally supervising the rescue operation.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has condoled the incident and
announced a compensation of 2 lakhs to the families who lost their members in
the accident. 50,000 will be given to the injured.
Horrible accident near Belgaum: ASI family and four killed
Belgaum: Four people, including two members of the ASI
family, died in a horrific road accident that took place on the state highway
near Budigoppa Cross in Savadatti taluk of the district this afternoon. Two
others sustained serious injuries.
The accident took place between a lorry, a car and a bike.
The deceased have been identified as Kudachi ASI Parasurama Halaki's wife
Rukmini Halaki (48), daughter Akshata (22) and car driver Nikhil Kadam (24)
Hanamavva Chippalakatti.
ASI Parasurama's wife and daughter were traveling towards
Yaragatti in their car when it collided with an oncoming cement lorry. Because
of this, these vehicles also hit the bikers who were going behind the car. The
car and the bike were completely crushed due to the accident. Rukmini, Akshata
and Nikhil breathed their last on the spot. An old woman named Manamavva
breathed her last in the hospital.
The rider of the bike and the rear passenger were seriously
injured and were taken to a hospital in Belgaum. It took a lot of effort to
remove the bodies from the car stuck in the lorry. Bachi-Raichur state highway
was blocked due to a series of accidents.
After two hours, the police cleared the vehicles and allowed
traffic. District Superintendent of Police Dr. Sanjiva Patila rushed to the
spot and handled the situation. A case has been registered in this regard at
Muragoda police station

Chikkaballapur: A horrific incident in
Chikkaballapur in which two people died due to multiple accidents from a canter
and the horrific scene of the accident was captured on CCTV. A serial accident
happened near Ramdev Gudi on National Highway 44. Four others were injured and
are being treated at a local hospital. Five cars parked in front of the hotel
were damaged at the time of the accident. Ramdevaragudi entered the Pranav
Hotel on the roadside to avoid the car coming on the canter highway. Hotel
security guard Narayanaswamy and bike rider Janardhan died in the incident.

Head-on collision between bus and mini truck in Uttar Pradesh:
Eight killed, 14 injured
Lakhimpur Kheri: Eight people died in a head-on collision between a private bus and a mini truck on Wednesday. Police said that 14 people were injured. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed condolence over the accident and directed the authorities to provide proper treatment to the injured. The bus, which was going from Dhaurhara to Lucknow, collided with a mini truck coming from the opposite direction on National Highway No. 730 on Aira Bridge. Deputy Superintendent of Police Pritam Pal Singh said that the death toll is likely to increase. On receiving the information, the police rushed to the spot and cut the bus with a gas cutter and rescued the injured. The DSP said that the injured have been shifted to the district hospital and efforts are being made to identify the deceased.
