108 feet statue of Kempegowda, 2nd terminal of airport inaugurated
Bangalore: Prime Minister Narendra
Modi is coming to Bangalore on November 11. It will inaugurate Terminal 2 of
Kempegowda International Airport and unveil a 108-feet tall statue of
Kempegowda in the airport's courtyard. Yesterday, Higher Education Minister Dr.
CN Aswatha Narayan, who is also the Vice-Chairman of Kempegowda Development
Authority, met Mr. Nirmalananda and held a discussion. On November 11, a
ceremony will be held in front of the Kempegowda Airport, where Prime Minister
Narendra Modi will unveil a 108 feet tall bronze statue of Kempegowda. On
November 11, in front of KIAB, the chariots are ready for the state-wide death
collection drive, and on October 21, CM Bommai will drive the chariots in front
of Vidhana Soudha. The CM instructed the DCs in the meeting held yesterday at
Vidhansouda to make the campaign successful. Everyone has been instructed to
make appropriate arrangements for the success of the campaign.
Helicopter crash: 6 people died
including the pilot!
Dehradun: A helicopter crashed near Kedarnath
in Uttarakhand, killing 6 people including two pilots and 4 pilgrims. The
incident took place at Garuda Chatti, which is about 2 km from Kedarnath. The
helicopter was taking pilgrims from Guptkashi Phata to Kedarnath. Six people
including two pilots died in the incident. Sources said that the accident
happened due to bad weather. There were many casualties in the incident and the
administration team went to the spot for rescue work.
Corona Fluctuation: 199 in Bangalore, 220
positive in the state today; Death is zero
Bengaluru: The ups and downs of corona
positive cases are continuing in the state, 220 people have been confirmed as
covid positive in the last 24 hours. With this, the number of infected has
increased to 40,67,149. Still no death has been reported in the state due to
the epidemic corona today. The death toll is 40,252, the Health and Family
Welfare Department said in a release. 199 people have been infected in
Bangalore today. With this, the number of infected in the city has increased to
18,73,417. Health and Family Welfare Department said that no death due to
Corona has been reported in the capital today. Today 203 infected people have
recovered and been discharged from the hospital in the state. With this, the
number of people who have recovered from the infection has increased to
40,23,833. There are 3,022 active cases
Officials are responsible for
accidents due to poor road works: Highways Authority
New Delhi: The National Highways Authority of
India (NHAI) on Tuesday issued a circular that the officials themselves will be
held responsible for any fatal or serious accidents that occur due to poor road
works. In case of dereliction of duty by representatives of NHAI/IE/AE involved
in the process of issue of provisional certificate. The circular said that if
their negligence endangers the safety of users, it will be taken seriously by
the authority. “However, it has come to the notice of the authority that
temporary certificates of completion of work are being issued on the basis of
road marking, road signs, crash barrier. This compromises the safety of users
and brings bad name to the authority," the circular said. NHAI cautioned
that "before issuing provisional certificate it should be ensured that the
road safety works on the project highway are complete in all respects. If any
fatal / serious accidents occur due to poor road work, Regional Authorities/
Project Director/ Engineer concerned will be held responsible".
Prahlad Joshi BSY Important Meeting:
New Delhi, October 19: Former Chief
Minister and BJP Parliamentary Board member BS Yeddyurappa met and held talks
with Union Minister Prahlad Joshi in Delhi on Wednesday. Yeddyurappa held a
long discussion with Union Minister Prahlad Joshi regarding setting up a
groundnut research institute in Karnataka. In this regard, the BJP leaders of
Shimoga, including Yeddyurappa, have convinced Prahlad Joshi to discuss with
the Union Agriculture Minister and cooperate in setting up a groundnut research
center. As the 2023 assembly elections are approaching, the meeting of the
state and central leaders has become a political curiosity. Sources in Delhi
said that for some time, the two leaders discussed the current state political
developments, including the target of winning 150 seats in the next assembly
elections and the ongoing Janasankalpa Yatra. Leaf spot disease is affecting
groundnut, which is one of the most important crops that bring income to
farmers in the coastal and upland parts of Karnataka. As a result, groundnut
growers are facing severe financial hardship. Araga Gyanendra, who is the
chairman of the state nut task force, informed that farmers will be given
subsidy for spraying medicine and equipment to control the leaf spot disease
affecting the nut. In addition, he said that a delegation of state leaders will
be taken to the Center and requested to make necessary arrangements.

Yeddyurappa, MP B.Y Raghavendra, MLA Harathalu Halappa, Legislative Council
