Mandya: KPCC president DK Shivakumar said that he will appear before the investigating agency in Delhi regarding the National Herald money laundering case.

Speaking to reporters in Mandya about this, DK Shivakumar said, 'The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued a notice for the National Herald case inquiry and I will face the inquiry in Delhi on Friday.'

As Bharat Jodo Yatra is going on in the state, I requested the ED to give me time to appear in the hearing from the point of view of humanity. But another notice came on Thursday and they did not allow it. So I have decided to attend the hearing. "Senior leaders of our party have also told to attend the inquiry," he said.

"The padayatra in the state is a people's yatra, it is conducted by the people themselves. I don't have to be there myself, our leaders take care of all the arrangements. Therefore, I and DK Suresh are going to Delhi on Thursday night to go to the trial.

The ED has also summoned his brother MP, DK Suresh, as part of the ongoing money laundering probe into the operations of the Congress-owned National Herald newspaper.

 

National Herald case: ED rejects DK's plea, directs him to attend hearing tomorrow

Mysore: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president DK Shivakumar said on Thursday that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has rejected his plea to exempt him from appearing before the investigating agency on October 7 in connection with the National Herald money laundering case.

Dikeshi said that he will decide whether to attend the hearing tomorrow or not after talking to his party leaders.

Rejecting DK Sivakumar's plea, ED in a new message directed him to attend the hearing on Friday itself.

 

"You are again directed to attend our office for recording of your statement on October 7, 2022 as per summon dated September 23, 2022," ED Assistant Director Kuldeep Singh said in an email.

Shivakumar, who is currently participating in the Congress 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' which is passing through Karnataka, had requested the investigating agency to exempt him from attending the hearing till October 21.

"I sought time to appear before the ED, but it was denied. I will decide whether to appear before the agency or not after talking to my leaders," Shivakumar said.

The ED has also summoned his brother MP, DK Suresh, as part of the ongoing money laundering probe into the operations of the Congress-owned National Herald newspaper.

The tender process has already been held and bloo aqua studio Bangalore has submitted a proposal to develop the aquarium at a cost of fifteen crore rupees. A marine aquarium, a jelly aquarium and more than 150 species of freshwater ornamental fish are on display, while the tunnel aquarium houses more than 30 types of ornamental aqua animals and holds 60,000 liters of seawater.
