Mysore to participate in the Bharat Jodo Yatra

 

Mysore: Congress president Sonia Gandhi arrived in the historic city of Mysore on Monday afternoon to participate in the ongoing Bharat Jodo Yatra in the state. He will participate in the yatra on Thursday morning when the yatra resumes after a two-day break on October 04 and 05 for Ayudha Puja and Vijayadashami festival background yatra.  He did not go to Kodagu due to bad weather and will stay in Mysore.Due to ill health, Sonia Gandhi did not campaign for the party during the elections. After a long time, he will be attending a public function of the party, which will be attended by a large number of Congress workers. The Bharat Jodo Yatra has entered the 26th day of its nearly five-month journey from Kanyakumari to Kashmir. Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi will undertake the entire 3,570 km walk.

Mysore: The Bharat Jodo Yatra going on in BJP-ruled Karnataka under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi is getting an unprecedented response. Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh said that they have got a lot of support in Chamarajanagar and Mysore districts. People are increasingly interested in participating in historical pilgrimages. AICC President Sonia Gandhi will participate in the Yatra from Mandya from October 6, he said.

Mysore: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi visited the Chamundeshwari temple atop the Chamundi Hill here on Monday and offered special pooja on the third day of the party's Bharat Jodo Yatra in Karnataka. Rahul Gandhi was accompanied by supporters and party leaders. Goddess Chamundeshwari is the royal family of Mysore and the deity of Mysore for several centuries. After visiting the temple, Gandhi tweeted in Hindi that 'Religious harmony is the foundation of India's peaceful and progressive future'. Rahul Gandhi began his 26th day yatra early in the morning and walked through the streets of the old town decorated for the 10-day Dussehra celebrations. People lined up on both sides of the road to welcome Rahul. The Yatra has so far covered 62 km in Karnataka and 532 km in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Addressing a public meeting here amid torrential rain on Sunday night, Rahul continued his speech.

Bengaluru, September 30: The Bharat Jodo Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi entered Karnataka via Gundlupet in Chamarajanagar district on Friday. This yatra will cover 511 kilometers across the state for 21 days Bharat Jodo Yatra started in the state on Friday. Bharat Jodo Yatra will travel in three stages in the state. Bharat Jodo Yatra will travel in 7 Lok Sabha constituencies and 20 assembly constituencies in three phases.
